Your role in this adventure:

Events and Tours:

  • Lead educational programs, guided tours, and presentations on the cultural significance of the Buffalo Jump
  • Foster an engaging and informative experience for visitors from all around the world
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of special events and programs
  • Participate in traditional activities such as drumming, dancing, singing, games, and storytelling related to Blackfoot & Native Plains Culture.

Visitor Services:

  • Assist visitors with inquiries, providing information about exhibits, trails, and upcoming events.
  • Operate the admissions desk and handle ticket sales
  • Operate the theatre, utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning experience for visitors.

Team Collaboration:

  • Contribute to a fun and positive workplace culture through collaborative interactions with coworkers and supervisors
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the facility is run smoothly, helping out where needed during peak busy times
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate GOA supervisor

Key Skills and Qualifications you bring to the team:

  • Passion for your cultural heritage and a desire to share knowledge with visitors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort presenting to large groups
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, indoor and outdoor work environment, including on walking trails.
  • Previous experience in interpretation, tourism, or related fields is an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an asset

POSITION: FULL TIME PERMANENT

HOURS: 9:30am – 5:00pm

TOTAL HOURS PER WEEK: 36.25HRS
